60 Hours of Education for California and Federal 2017

This course has been approved by the California Tax Education Council (2080-QE-001), which fulfills the 60-hour qualifying education requirement imposed by the state of California to become a tax preparer.

Wednesdays and Fridays
6PM to 10PM:

October 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 and 27 of 2017

November 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 17 and 22 of 2017

 

After each chapter the student will complete online review questions and Practice Tax Returns. The Practice Tax Return is in PDF format and includes the necessary forms to complete a tax return by hand prior to answering questions. Returns containing Schedule A are prepared with state income tax withholding on line 5 and the additional state specific taxes such as CASDI. Practice Tax Returns are based on the material covered so far.

IMPORTANT:

In order for CTEC requirements, you will take 3 separate finals. The ethic final is directly after Chapter 1. The California Tax Law final will be at the end of all of the chapters and the federal final will be administered right after the California Tax Law. You must pass all three finals with a 70% or better before your certificate of completion will be available to print.

Do not have errors when reporting your hours; Make sure your NAME and LAST NAME, your PTIN and CTEC are correct in your book record and in the Class Attendance Record that you sign each day, your hours will be reported with the name you registered.
